Breakers is a new original graphic novel series created by Andrew Reaves, Noel Short & Rey Arzeno.
Hundreds of pages of story have already been written and Rey is currently drawing the prologue, which will be
made into a web comic and used for our submission package. Our plan is to get picked up by one of the comic
book companies that publish creator-owned comics like Image Comics or Dark Horse. We will also be looking into Zuda Comics.
Our backup plan will be to use our submission material to present to some investors in the arts to get some funds to pay for the artwork and self-publish.
Once we are picked up we are looking for an artist who can crank out beautiful sequential art, based on the concept sketches
by Rey Arzeno. Rey will color them and continue to create the character concepts as well as do the chapter covers for Breakers.
Please keep in mind that the input from our sequential artist is always welcome and greatly appreciated.
We're looking for a team member and hopefully someone as passionate about the project as we are.
At the moment we don't have any money to offer, but what we are looking for is help to get funding.
When that happens you will of course get credited as part of the creative team and then we can work out a
fair deal after that, whether it's a percentage deal or a per page rate. We can work all that out later.
The Breakers world we are creating is large and the story is very layered, so as part of our submission package,
along with the prologue which will be in full comic book form, we want to include 2 short stories.
One, written in prose, is called "Shoes", a dark creepy tale of an encounter with one of our villains, "The River People".
The other is a short comic which is a flashback of our main characters as children on an adventure.
For Shoes we're looking for a few Illustrations that will accompany the story, and for the flashback scene
someone with a great vision for younger versions of the main characters would be fantastic.
